Introducing Thomas Howard, New Secondary Faculty Member in BME
has joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Computer Science as an Assistant Professor with a secondary appointment in Biomedical Engineering.
He comes to the ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ after serving as a research scientist at MIT's Robust Robotics Group. His research spans artificial intelligence, robotics, and human-robot interaction. He has applied his research on planetary rovers, autonomous automobiles, mobile manipulators, robotic torsos, and unmanned aerial vehicles. A ÌìÃÀÊÓƵ engineering alumnus (B.S., Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering '04), Howard earned his Ph.D. (2009) in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.
