Research
Medical imaging plays an important role in early disease detection, monitoring treatment response, and guiding many surgical procedures. Projects are underway to develop advanced ultrasonic, optical, and magnetic resonance imaging methods. These techniques are built on mechanics, inverse problems, signal and image processing, and fast computational techniques. Many projects are undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, (Radiology), the , and the .
